This website provides a more detailed and technical commentary to the Jamison-Brereton Rig Veda translation (Oxford Univ. Press, 2014) than was feasible in the published volumes. Sections of the commentary have been posted in stages. As of now, all the hymns have received SWJ’s commentary, including all those for whose translation JPB was primarily responsible. Although the whole text is now covered, the commentary will continue to be updated as I (SWJ) continue to puzzle over the RV.
